GoVA’s mission is to empower military families to make strong money choices by providing access to smart financial tools. We offer our financial courses and services to military families for free, thanks to support from sponsors like you.

Educate – Prepare – Deploy

With a membership to The Edge, a service member, Veteran, or military spouse gets immediate access to hundreds of interactive financial tools to educate them on their options and prepare them to ask the right questions. When they’re ready to take action, they can deploy the best resource, loan, investment, or financial choice for their situation.

  • A service member recovering from the financial strain of a PCS move can learn about consolidating debt, evaluating personal loan options, and setting up an emergency savings account so they are better prepared for the next move.
  • A military family planning to buy their first home can compare interest rates, learn about mortgage loan options, read a free credit report, and get personalized assistance from the Concierge Center to help them complete their loan application.
  • A military spouse preparing for the service member’s deployment can use the budget tools to build a household budget, pay down debt, or save up for a post-deployment vacation, while using the job search tools to improve their resume.
  • A Veteran planning for retirement can learn how their military TSP stacks up against other investment plans, and use tools to calculate paying for their child’s education or saving for major goals.
  • Military entrepreneurs can find courses on how to start a business, learn about access to start-up capital, and research details about business taxes.

GoVA Foundation, a New Non-Profit

We know these financial tools have a positive impact on the financial wellness, mental health, and readiness of military families.

That’s why we established the GoVA Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve the military community’s access to financial tools. All donations to the GoVA Foundation go directly into the scholarship program, which provides free membership to The Edge. And of course, non-profit donations are tax-deductible.

A $299.88 donation provides a scholarship for a military member to access The Edge tools for one year (at a $24.99 monthly rate).
