Banks can earn CRA consideration and empower service members, Veterans, and military spouses by providing scholarships for financial literacy tools
GoVA’s financial tools on The Edge have a positive impact on the financial wellness, mental health, and readiness of military families, particularly those with lower income.
That’s why we established the GoVA Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve the military community’s access to financial tools. All donations to the GoVA Foundation go directly into the scholarship program, which provides free membership to The Edge.
The GoVA Foundation’s mission is to empower military families to make strong money choices by providing access to smart financial tools. We partner with banks through CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) programs to improve the military community’s access to financial tools and to lower barriers to banking.

The GoVA Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, offers financial literacy education to military families for free, thanks to donations from our sponsors. All donations go directly to the scholarship fund, and are tax-deductible.
Banks who invest in the financial literacy scholarships can earn CRA consideration for serving LMI (Low-Moderate Income) individuals within their banking footprint.
